Bio

Buffalo born and bred, Marina Laurendi, is a rising female indie pop artist. Fusing classic alternative elements with bursts of pop and cinematic textures, Marina’s music calls forth a sense of wanderlust, nostalgia, and dreamlike idealism. Poetic verses draped over textured guitars, infectious pop hooks, and haunting vocals, Marina seamlessly blends genres, putting a modern and refreshing twist on old school Alt. Her music shares a street with current artists Phoebe Bridgers, Alvaays, and lauded veteran Lana Del Rey.

Marina started performing at a young age as a musical theatre actress, singer, and dancer. Her theatre career led her to NYC and to perform around the East Coast and Off-Broadway. Her songwriting is the intersection of opposites-current and classic, city and suburbia.

Marina recently performed at The Bitter End in NYC, The Hard Rock Cafe in Niagara Falls, Buffalo Ironworks and Nietzsche’s, Whirlybird Music & Arts Festival in Jamestown, NY, and Buffalo’s 20th Annual Music is Art Festival. Her music has been featured on Thunder 102 in Sullivan County, WBFO The Bridge, Broadway World, NYS Music, and has earned spots on various other independent Spotify playlists. All Music Magazine called her "a force to be reckoned with". In 2022, she was a quarter finalist in a national competition to open at the Hollywood Bowl. Her debut EP “Stay Mine” and title track music video are out now. Follow Marina on social media here  and catch one of her next performances.
